Pool Ambassador

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Pool/Beach Attendant to join our team at Ocean Place Resort & Spa. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests while ensuring the cleanliness and order of pool and beach areas.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

• Assisting guests with setting up beach/pool chairs, umbrellas, and towels
• Greeting guests in a warm and friendly manner and ensuring all guest contact is courteous, informative, and thorough
• Ensuring cleanliness and order of pool and beach areas at all times, including chairs, umbrellas, tables, garbage cans, restrooms, and locker room
• Responding to all guest needs in a timely and efficient manner
• Providing guests with clean towels as requested
• Properly setting up pool, beach, and locker room stations daily
• Monitoring pool/beach entrance areas to ensure only OP registered guests are accessing areas and removing any unregistered guests when necessary
• Folding/preparing pool towels for distribution
• Distributing appropriate number of pool towels for each registered room, ensuring all documentation has been completed with accurate information and signatures
• Communicating hotel menus and services in an accurate and courteous manner
• Assisting as food runner during slower beach entrance/exit times and higher food sales volume

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Job-related experience in a similar setting preferred
• The ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff verbally and in written form
• High motivation and self-direction
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• The ability to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, early morning, and mid-day/evening shifts
