The University of Wyoming is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at University Student Health Services.

Job Purpose:

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will assist nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and physicians in providing care for patients. Your primary responsibilities will include obtaining and recording patient data, assisting with examinations and procedures, maintaining a clean work area, and escorting patients to examination rooms and other facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Obtain and record patient data such as blood pressure, pulse, and weight.
  • Assist nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and physicians in performing examinations and other procedures as directed.
  • Maintain a clean work area in examination rooms and emergency treatment rooms.
  • Escort patients to examination rooms, laboratory, X-ray, or infirmary; assist with physiotherapy treatment.
  • Prepare suture trays, equipment, and supplies for sterilization; sterilize equipment and supplies following designated protocols.

Remote Work Eligibility:

This position requires the successful candidate to be available to work on campus, providing vital support to campus customers.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of Nursing Assistant experience
  • Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
  • Valid CPR certification (cardiopulmonary resuscitation)
  • Valid AED certification (automated external defibrillator)
