About This Role

The Fabrication Team Lead position is a critical role within Crusoe Energy, responsible for overseeing the daily coordination of team performance to ensure timely completion of projects with zero quality and safety incidents. This individual will be responsible for communicating team production details, identifying production constraints, and ensuring quality of craftsmanship. Additionally, they will train and coach team members on project tasks, assess their skills and training needs, and ensure all team schedules are on track for completion on time.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate team performance to ensure timely completion of projects with zero quality and safety incidents
  • Communicate team production details, including production schedule, materials shortages, and team priorities
  • Identify production constraints and communicate to Production Manager
  • Oversee quality of craftsmanship and ensure adherence to safety procedures
  • Train and coach team members on project tasks and assess their skills and training needs
  • Ensure all team schedules are on track for completion on time
  • Coordinate team project tasks through the production team to ensure timely completion
  • Act as a resource to backfill team members as needed
  • Support and perform tool set ups and changeovers to minimize downtime
  • Review project status and issues with Production Manager to determine course of action
  • Continuously improve procedures, processes, and methods to ensure safety and quality
Requirements
  • Requires lift, lower, push, and pull of merchandise up to 50 lbs
  • Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back to operate machines and computers
  • Requires ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for 8 hours or more daily
  • Experience in using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) software, Infor Visual experience a plus
  • Prior management experience required
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to check engineering drawings and CNC programs
  • D1.1 structural certification
  • Eager to learn with strong listening and critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter who consistently demonstrates professionalism and accepts responsibility
  • Team player with positive attitude towards clients and coworkers, striving for constant improvement in process and delivery
  • Excellent understanding of CNC machine tools
  • Expert metal manufacturing experience required
  • Firm working knowledge of NEMA Standards and UL Listings preferred
  • Electro-Mechanical experience a plus
  • Drive to create and continually improve systems
  • ISO 9001:2015 experience a plus
  • Willing to take a background and drug test
