Position Overview:
The Program Dietitian plays a crucial role in delivering nutritional therapy to clients engaged in intensive programming. This includes conducting comprehensive nutrition assessments, formulating tailored care plans, monitoring ongoing medical and nutritional conditions, and tracking client progress. Additionally, the Program Dietitian provides educational resources aimed at enhancing clients' nutritional well-being and their relationship with food.

Work Schedule:

  • Part-Time, 0.5 FTE (20 hours per week) - Fully Remote
  • Program hours vary by season:
  • Fall/Winter/Spring: Monday to Thursday, 2 PM - 7 PM
  • Summer: Monday to Thursday, 8 AM - 1 PM
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver individualized nutritional therapy to all assigned clients.
  • Conduct thorough nutrition assessments for each client, adhering to established policies and regulatory standards.
  • Facilitate group nutrition education sessions as required.
  • Support meal planning and provide active coaching during Therapeutic Supported Meals.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary case discussions and treatment planning.
  • Ensure effective transition and aftercare planning for all clients, including coordination with internal and external dietitians.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all nutrition care in compliance with policies and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate professionally with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Engage in site-based and national Quality Assurance initiatives.
  • Ensure clinical records are maintained in accordance with Accanto policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Registered Dietitian credential is mandatory.
  • Current licensure in the state of employment (where applicable) is required.
  • ServSafe Food Handler certification is necessary.
  • Additional food safety certification may be required based on state or local regulations.
  • Preferred: One year of clinical experience, particularly in eating disorders.
