Job SummaryNew Way Trucks is seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our team. As a key member of our paint shop, you will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to garbage truck bodies and parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply paint and primer to garbage truck bodies and parts using spray guns, ensuring a smooth and glossy finish.
  • Assist in the preparation process, including tacking, masking, and drying.
  • Clean and maintain paint guns, pots, and filtration systems to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Work with the safety department to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DNR regulations.
  • Manage waste materials and inspect own work to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Operate a forklift to move garbage truck assemblies around the paint shop.
Additional Duties
  • Collaborate with the supervisor to set and maintain a weekly paint schedule.
  • Clean and maintain the paint storage building to ensure a safe and organized workspace.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest painting techniques and equipment.
  • Produce high-quality finishes using excellent painting skills.
  • Read and understand technical documents to obtain proper paint mixtures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in automotive or industrial painting preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in forklift operation preferred.
