Job Overview

:
This position is accountable for autonomously conducting test procedures during intricate audit engagements for various Lines of Business (LOBs). The primary duties encompass the independent design and execution of audit assessments, evaluating issues for their impact on business operations, and providing recommendations on severity levels. Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with business partners is essential. Responsibilities also include assessing the control framework, promoting an inclusive workplace culture, utilizing product, business, and technical knowledge, and aiding team members in their professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Implements audit strategies to ensure effective risk-based auditing by defining audit scopes and programs, while employing automation and innovative techniques in a timely and high-quality manner. Utilizes comprehensive knowledge of products, business operations, and technical aspects to effectively challenge management in enhancing the control environment. Evaluates the implications for business processes, controls, and strategies to offer insights on severity ratings. Contributes to the drafting of audit reports and communicates audit findings to business leaders. Facilitates the development of colleagues and teams through on-the-job training and nurtures an inclusive work atmosphere. Cultivates business partner relationships, particularly with line management, to enhance business understanding. Employs innovative tools to enhance the efficiency of audit activities (e.g., testing).

Required Qualifications:

4-5 years of experience in audit or in a compliance/business controls/risk management capacity. Strong organizational, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate to influence management and drive change in both strategic and tactical initiatives. Self-motivated, eager to learn, capable of teaching others, energetic, positive, and adaptable. Proficient analytical skills with the capability to interpret large data sets and convert them into actionable insights. Ability to work meticulously while also identifying broader patterns and themes related to risk and concerns. Competence in managing multiple tasks and swiftly adapting to changing priorities. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.

Desired Qualifications:

Familiarity with Bank of America’s consumer business processes and front-end application systems. Background in audit or risk control within the financial services sector.
