About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer in Test to join our team at Fidelity TalentSource LLC. As a key member of our Engineering Efficiency and Assurance chapter, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions for our customers.

Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and implement functional test automation frameworks and tools to ensure the quality and reliability of our cloud-based software solutions. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing needs, develop test strategies, and implement automated testing solutions.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will also be responsible for collaborating with our engineering teams to identify and implement best practices for software development, testing, and deployment. You will also contribute to the development of our engineering community by sharing your knowledge and expertise with your colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop functional test automation frameworks and tools
  • Develop and maintain automated testing solutions for cloud-based software solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing needs
  • Develop test strategies and implement automated testing solutions
  • Contribute to the development of our engineering community by sharing knowledge and expertise
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and implement best practices for software development, testing, and deployment
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in software development cycle, unit and functional test automation
  • Hands-on experience in Java, Web services, Cloud Services Integration, and API
  • Proficient in Java, J2EE, Spring MVC, Spring Core, and JavaScript
  • Hands-on experience in cloud computing environments (AWS) and applications
  • Strong experience with SQL (queries, grouping, joins)
  • Ability to grasp application functionalities quickly and thoroughly and create functional use cases
  • Hands-on experience with Unit Integration and Functional test
  • DevSecOps automation experience
  • Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration, and Delivery tools like Jenkins, Maven, uDeploy, Stash, and Docker
  • Experience with Business-Driven Development is a plus
  • Deep understanding of API design, including versioning, isolation, and micro-services
  • Experience in working with relational and NoSQL database management systems
  • Experience in Agile methodologies (Kanban, SCRUM)
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work with multiple teams in the organization globally
  • Experience with Service Virtualization for performance testing
  • Ability to adapt to different work styles on both communication and presentation
  • Ability to disagree effectively and respectfully, and have constructive debate with partners
  • Ability to build the test framework and lead best practices across squads
