About the Position:

This role reports to the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and is responsible for leading the safety function across all operations and locations. The incumbent will establish systems, protocols, and accountabilities that result in strong employee engagement, compliance, and operational excellence. This position will strategically balance costs and return on necessary and desired safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement safety programs to mitigate exposures and improve safety metrics.
• Collaborate with construction field supervisors to drive a positive safety culture.
• Identify and design programs to address safety concerns and improve overall safety performance.
• Travel for meetings and job site visits, approximately 20% of the time.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of safety experience in the construction industry, preferably in steel erection.
• Bachelor's degree in environmental health & safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification is preferred.
