Position Overview

The Head of Warehouse Systems and Technology will strategize the future of Warehouse Management Systems while spearheading the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Formulate and execute the comprehensive Warehouse Management System (WMS) technology strategy in collaboration with IT, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and expansion plans.
2. Evaluate the existing WMS technology landscape alongside IT, pinpoint gaps, and propose innovative solutions to boost efficiency, visibility, and responsiveness.
3. Oversee the selection, deployment, and integration of warehouse management systems (WMS) and Labor Management Solutions.

5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, corporate operations, market operations, and procurement, to identify technological needs, prioritize projects, and ensure seamless integration with current systems.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in distribution, warehouse management, and logistics, including systems implementation and support.
- Proven track record of delivering projects within defined scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards in an operational or industrial environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations and a broad technological perspective, with experience in various WMS systems, SAP, Power BI tools, Routing Tools, and Proof of Delivery systems.
- Expertise in business relationship management and collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Experience in conducting production comparison evaluations through RFPs.
- Ability to effectively manage an operational budget.
- Excellent prioritization, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated capability to assess current systems and processes, identifying strategic improvement areas through technology or process changes.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Results-oriented professional with strong verbal and written communication skills, utilizing diplomacy and discretion to engage with various functional leaders.
- Ability to multitask, work independently or within a team, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Understanding of WMS database structures and system-specific coding.
- Lean/Six Sigma experience.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.

Competencies
