We are seeking a skilled Budget/Financial Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial principles and be adept at analyzing various financial documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret legal and real estate documentation.
- Conduct thorough reviews of financial transactions and agreements.
- Assist in the reconciliation of cash flow analysis across multiple departments, including Real Estate and Treasury.
- Provide accurate projections based on departmental feedback and agreements.
- Project revenue and offer recommendations based on data analysis.
- Maintain and update budget tracking and reporting databases.
- Support the preparation of the annual budget and engage in long-term financial planning.
- Perform complex financial analyses for various projects and initiatives.
- Address financial inquiries from management and other stakeholders.
- Participate in special accounting projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of finance and administration principles, particularly in municipal accounting and budgeting.
- Familiarity with modern office practices and procedures.
- Proficient in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Understanding of laws governing financial administration at various government levels.
- Experience in budget preparation and revenue forecasting.
Skills Required:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and external agencies.
- Proficient in preparing and interpreting statistical analyses and complex financial reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance is preferred, with municipal experience being a plus.
