Job Responsibilities and QualificationsAs a Radiologic Technologist at Methodist Hospital Hill Country , your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting physician-ordered diagnostic imaging examinations.
- Demonstrating proficiency in all aspects of diagnostic radiography and computerized tomography (CT), including positioning, preparation for procedures, and understanding technical factors related to modalities.
- Utilizing various equipment used in CT scans, such as power injectors and biopsy devices, along with mobile and C-Arm equipment for diagnostic radiography.
- Managing the scheduling of exams, tracking patients and images, ensuring proper completion of exams, and utilizing PACS effectively.
- Adhering to safety protocols and procedures, recognizing potential crisis situations, and implementing measures to prevent complications.
- Maintaining cleanliness and inventory in examination rooms, ensuring compliance with infection control and disinfection standards.
- Restocking supplies as needed and ensuring that work areas are clean and organized at the end of each shift.
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or possession of an Associate's degree or higher in Radiologic Technology.
- Current Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification from the Texas Medical Board.
- ARRT (R) certification.
- Eligibility to obtain ARRT (CT) certification within six months of hire.
