This is a full-time, on-site position for an Acute Care Physician. We are seeking a fully licensed MD with substantial experience in hospitalist roles. This is a rare opportunity within a private medical group associated with a leading healthcare institution.
The Acute Care Physician will be tasked with delivering comprehensive medical services to patients admitted to the hospital. Responsibilities include conducting thorough physical assessments, diagnosing and managing various medical conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic evaluations, and formulating effective treatment strategies. The physician will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to uphold the highest standards of patient care and coordination.

INPATIENT HOSPITALISTS TEXAS MEDICAL CENTER PLLC is a healthcare practice located in Houston, Texas, committed to delivering exceptional medical services to our patients. Our facility is positioned within the Texas Medical Center, one of the largest and most renowned medical hubs globally, fostering a collaborative and innovative atmosphere for healthcare professionals.
Work Schedule
- 1 week on service followed by 1 week off (flexible time-off options available)
- Flexibility for certain vacation days
Workload Expectations
- Typical work hours commence around 8 AM and conclude by 5 or 6 PM, or earlier based on efficiency
- Average patient load ranges from 20 to 25 patients
- On-call responsibilities occur every third day for ER admissions, clinic admissions, or hospital transfers
Patient Demographics
- Hepatology service line (patients with severe liver conditions, requiring transplants or gastrointestinal interventions)
- Hematology/Oncology (patients with malignant blood disorders such as leukemia and lymphoma)
- Orthopedic cases
Compensation
Competitive salary starting at $290,000, with potential earnings up to $380,000 based on productivity and efficiency, along with a separate performance bonus of up to $28,000 annually.
