Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our dynamic Neurology team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the overall success of our Neurology department.
Key Responsibilities- Comprehensive Neurological Assessments: Perform thorough neurological assessments, including patient history, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Diagnosis and Treatment: Diagnose and treat various neurological conditions, collaborating with Neurologists and other healthcare professionals.
- Patient Care Planning: Develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring optimal outcomes and continuity of care.
- Diagnostic Testing: Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as MRI, CT scans, and EEGs, to aid in accurate diagnoses.
- Patient Education: Provide patient education on neurological conditions, treatment plans, and preventive measures.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with Neurology team members to enhance patient care and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
- Education: Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Licensure: Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Certification: Certification from an accredited professional organization.
- Specialization: Specialization or experience in Neurology preferred.
- Clinical Skills: Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and treating neurological conditions.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Patient-Centered Care: Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous quality improvement.
