Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Health Promotion Center team at Point Loma Nazarene University. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our health promotion programs.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care and develop effective treatment plans.
- Conduct patient visits and provide education on health promotion and disease prevention.
- Work closely with our health promotion team to plan and implement community outreach events and flu vaccination programs.
- Supervise and mentor nursing students and NP students, providing guidance and support in their clinical rotations.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and health records.
- Consult with our supervising physician and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care.
- Assist patients with Project Access Applications and Management.
- Masters or Doctoral prepared Nurse Practitioner.
- NP CA license, NP CA Furnishing License, NPI.
- National NP Certification (ANCC or AANP).
- CPR Certified (BLS required).
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft, Excel, Google Drive, and Practice Fusion charting system.
- Fluent in Spanish (able to conduct patient visits in Spanish).
The work is primarily sedentary and may require sitting for extended periods of time. Use of computer equipment: computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Prolonged periods of standing during patient evaluations. Ability to read documents, email and other correspondence, and reports on paper and computer monitor. Hearing and speaking to communicate effectively with others in person and by phone. Ability to stand, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 20 lbs throughout the day.
