Middlebury College is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Grounds team as a Seasonal Groundsworker. This part-time, non-exempt position will play a critical role in maintaining the beauty and functionality of our campus grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Grounds team to ensure the upkeep of campus facilities, including lawns, gardens, and athletic fields.
  • Operate and maintain various equipment, including lawn mowers, trimmers, and other machinery.
  • Assist with event setup and teardown, including preparing athletic fields for games and events.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as pruning, watering, and fertilizing plants and trees.
  • Assist with facilities service maintenance work, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational background or experience in lawn and landscape maintenance desired.
  • Knowledge of proper equipment use and willingness to be trained as required.
  • Driver's license and good driving skills required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.
