Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate ER Nurse to join our team at National Park Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate Effectively: Explain procedures and treatments to patients to gain cooperation, understanding, and alleviate apprehension.
- Administer Medications and Treatments: Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
- Prepare Equipment and Assist Physicians: Prepare equipment and aid physicians during treatment and examination of patients.
- Maintain Patient Safety and Comfort: Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of patients.
- Monitor Patient Conditions: Observe patients, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisors or physicians of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
- Take Vital Signs: Take temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patients.
- Respond to Emergencies: Respond to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol.
- Document Patient Information: Document nursing history and physical assessment for assigned patients.
- Develop Patient Education Plans: Initiate a patient education plan according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by physicians and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction.
Requirements:
- Current RN License: Current RN license in the state of Arkansas.
- ER Experience: Previous experience in an emergency room setting.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
