Assignment Description:
Geospatial Imaging Specialists engage in image evaluation, point selection, mensuration, triangulation, orthorectification, dynamic range adjustments, and processing to generate image products.
They enhance the relative and absolute positioning accuracy of imagery from sensors to facilitate mono and stereo analysis. These specialists assess, evaluate, and extract elevation data from stereo imagery.They provide comprehensive technical expertise to clients, review products, and ensure that final outputs meet the accuracy standards set by clients.
Duties:
- Assess, evaluate, and extract elevation data from stereo imagery.
- Perform/assist with image evaluation, point selection, mensuration, triangulation, orthorectification, and processing to produce both standard and nonstandard image products.
- Support initiatives to enhance the relative and absolute positioning accuracy of imagery from various sensors to facilitate mono and stereo analysis.
Qualifications Mandatory:
MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA:
For this role, applicants must fulfill all competencies outlined under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria, including educational requirements if applicable.
Online resumes must demonstrate qualifications by providing specific examples and associated outcomes:- Proven experience in communicating ongoing work and findings to leadership and others through written, visual, and spoken reports and presentations.
- Proven experience utilizing GEOINT Analysis or Photogrammetry-related exploitation software.
- Proven experience in photogrammetry or related geospatial sciences core competencies.
- A solid understanding and practical application of modeling geometric components of the image collection path.
- Familiarity with exploitation and mensuration software packages.
- Familiarity with current GEOINT systems, products, and development.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
A
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Cartography or related sciences. Coursework must include at least 30 semester hours in relevant subjects. -OR- B.
Combination of Education and Experience:
A minimum of 30 semester hours of coursework as listed in option A, plus relevant experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:
Near visual acuity of 20/60 or better with or without corrective lenses; Stereopsis ability.
