Job Summary

LaBella Associates is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Restoration Technician to join our team in our Ballston Spa office. This hourly, non-exempt position offers a competitive salary range of $16 to $18 per hour, with opportunities for overtime during peak seasonal times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct invasive species identification and control through herbicide application and/or physical removal
  • Implement native seeding and planting strategies to restore ecosystems
  • Design and install erosion and sediment control features, and riverbank and riparian restoration projects
  • Operate tools and equipment such as chain saws, brush saws, herbicide sprayers, trucks, and trailers, and skid loaders
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in natural sciences, ecology, geography, biology, or related field
  • New York State Driver's License
  • Construction experience and ability to drive large trucks, tow trailers, and operate small to heavy equipment
  • Ability to identify invasive plant species common to western and central New York
  • Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to walk all day over rough terrain and travel regularly
  • Willingness to obtain a New York State pesticide applicator license
