We are seeking a compassionate and caring Resident Assistant to join our team at Otterbein SeniorLife. As a Resident Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by providing support with their daily needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Provide support with tasks such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and incontinence care in a caring and respectful manner.
- Supervise and Assist with Transfers and Ambulation: Offer supervision, cueing, or other non-weight-bearing assistance as needed to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents.
- Communicate and Coordinate Resident Needs: Work closely with residents, families, and the care team to understand and meet the unique needs of each individual.
- Collaborate with the Care Team: Work under the supervision and direction of the nurse in charge to ensure seamless care delivery and resident satisfaction.
- Respond to Emergency Calls: Quickly respond to emergency calls from Independent Living residents as directed by the nurse in charge.
- Assist with Daily Needs: Provide support with various daily tasks as needed, such as medication reminders, meal assistance, and social engagement.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Certification: No certification required.
