Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and achieving the goals of a unit or department by focusing on daily operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consistently promote a positive and healthy work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers.
  • Collaborate with nurse leaders to maintain productivity, support initiatives, and ensure units/departments are appropriately staffed.
  • Assist in identifying staff development needs with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education.
  • Daily productivity and expense management and support unit/department manager with budget preparation.
  • Focus on patient safety, patient experience, and performance improvement in alignment with unit/department goals.
  • Encourage employee participation in decision-making through shared governance and support change management.
  • Support professional development to improve employee retention.
Requirements
  • 2 years of clinical RN experience.
  • 6 months to 1 year of clinical leadership experience, preferred.
  • A degree in nursing (BSN or MSN).
  • Current RN License to practice in the state of employment.
  • Life Support Certifications per Department Standards.
  • Nursing Specialty Certification: Required to sit for certification within 6 months of hire/transfer.
