This position is introduced to bolster the ongoing expansion of the Sargent & Lundy Consulting division, particularly in the realms of renewable energy, battery energy storage, and utility planning/advisory services. Our Consulting Group collaborates with clients across the United States and in various international markets.

This role necessitates substantial face-to-face engagement with power plant developers and proprietors, as well as financiers and investors, throughout the execution of consulting services for the firm. The work atmosphere in our Consulting division is dynamic, fast-paced, and intellectually stimulating.

This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring in-office attendance three days a week.

Qualifications

We do not provide sponsorship for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering (other engineering disciplines may be considered). A Master's degree in an engineering field or business (e.g., MBA) is advantageous.

To qualify, you should have a minimum of five years of experience in the power sector, encompassing one or more of the following areas:
  • Design of utility-scale solar, wind, and/or battery energy storage projects;
  • Independent engineering and due diligence services for power initiatives;
  • Power project development;
  • Management of solar, wind, and/or battery energy storage construction;
  • Experience in project finance or financial modeling of power projects is a plus;
  • Experience with owner's engineering activities during power project execution is a plus.
Additionally, the following skills are essential:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Experience in drafting technical reports and proposals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to collaborate with and guide others.
  • Project planning and leadership capabilities.
