Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Sonographer to join our team at Mercy Medical Center. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound procedures on scheduled shifts, including emergency callback, and operating ultrasound equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides patient/family or caregiver education and counseling in recognition and solution of physical, emotional, and environmental health problems.
- Promotes professionalism with the department, hospital, and community; Maintains the physical environment of the department in a clean, well-stocked, orderly manner.
Requirements:
- Successful completion of an accredited two-year Ultrasound and/or Vascular Technologist training program.
- 2 or more years employment at Mercy Medical Center as a Sonographer or 3 or more years Sonography experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire, and maintained.
- Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.
