We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Specialist to join our team at Marathon Petroleum Corporation. This role will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and revising operating procedures to ensure compliance and providing training and mentorship to Operations employees.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, review, and revise operating procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Provide training and mentorship to Operations employees to enhance their knowledge and skills.
- Administer regional Basic Operator Training (BOT) and Operation's qualification and re-qualification programs.
- Assist with MPLX continuous improvement initiatives, including training efforts and standard implementation/review.
- Support the Operations Excellence Management System (OEMS) and Operational Discipline practices.
- Participate in Process Safety Management (PSM) or Process Safety Management lite related activities.
- Review shift logs for effectiveness and coach Operations personnel on effective communication and standardization of shift logs.
- Support district and/or area leadership teams by maintaining awareness of day-to-day activities and attending Operations meetings.
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- A valid Driver's License and excellent driving record.
- Travel - Up to 25%.
- Relevant operational knowledge and/or experience in the area they will support.
- Experience with Piping & Instrument Diagrams, Cause & Effect Matrices, and other pertinent documentation.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
