Banquet Porter

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Banquet Porter to join our team at HG Staffing LLC. As a Banquet Porter, you will be responsible for executing the preparation, setup, and tear-down of banquet areas/meeting spaces, moving furniture and stage platforms, lifting heavy objects such as chairs, tables, and dance floor sections, and pushing/pulling carts.

• Prepare and set up banquet areas/meeting spaces for events
• Maintain the cleanliness of work areas and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards and fire codes
• Interact with guests and provide excellent customer service
• Lift and move heavy objects, such as chairs, tables, and dance floor sections
• Push/pull carts and other equipment as needed

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to communicate in English, both in written and oral form
• Previous experience as a banquet set up porter preferred, but not required
• Ability to work consistently with tables and chairs and communicate with other team members
• Must have the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced and stressful environment with prolonged walking/standing
• Must have the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. at a time, push/pull up to 400 lbs. at a time; and handle heavy machinery such as pallet jacks, taggers, fork lifts, etc.

The work environment is a fast-paced, casino environment with a smoke-filled atmosphere. The noise level is usually loud. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
