ESL Instructor

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate part-time ESL Instructor to join Comprehensive Community Action's team.

Salary:$40,000 - $50,000 per year

This is a part-time position, 15 hours per week. You will be responsible for teaching English language skills to students whose first language is not English. Your role is crucial in helping students gain confidence and skills to communicate effectively in English.

• Create engaging lesson plans based on students' language levels and needs.
• Teach reading, writing, listening and speaking skills to students of varying age groups and proficiency levels.
• Regularly assess students' progress through tests, quizzes and informal assessments. Provide feedback on their performance and offer guidance for improvement.

To perform this job successfully, you must have:

• A Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or related field; preferred
• TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong knowledge of ESL curriculums
• Patience and empathy to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and learning abilities
