Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our Balance Sheet Strategy & Analytics team as a Quantitative Analyst I. This role is integral to our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) division, focusing on risk management activities, performance measurement, and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Preparation and Automation:
    Utilize advanced scripting tools such as SQL and R or Python to support the design and maintenance of data preparation processes. This includes developing and managing data feeds for risk profile reporting and other analytical needs.
  • Balance Sheet Analytics:
    Conduct thorough analyses of bank product behaviors to forecast cash flow assumptions, including loan prepayments and deposit decay. Provide insights into loan and deposit pricing strategies.
  • Documentation and Communication:
    Compile and document all forecasts and analyses, ensuring clarity and accessibility for stakeholders. Communicate complex technical concepts in straightforward language to support decision-making processes.

Qualifications:
  • Required:
    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. Experience in statistical analysis or data analytics is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with data visualization tools such as PowerQuery and PowerBI is required.
  • Preferred:
    Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline and experience in balance sheet risk analysis. Knowledge of retail or commercial banking products is advantageous.

Skills:
Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills are necessary in a dynamic environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills are crucial for conveying complex information to diverse audiences.
