Global Accounts Payable Director

Sedgwick is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Accounts Payable Director to lead our accounts payable function on a global scale. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing the processing of invoices and payments, ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulations, and providing strategic direction for the accounts payable team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function, including the processing of invoices and payments.
  • Identify process improvements and drive implementation of automating processes in Coupa and SAP.
  • Analyze accounts payable data and metrics to provide insights into the financial performance of the organization.
  • Collaborate across Finance and other departments to address issues and improve service.
  • Provide leadership across the AP team through training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Continually evaluate processes and systems for improvement.
  • Establish and enforce policies and practices to ensure timely invoice and payment processing.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, external regulations, and company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts payable function.
  • Manage vendor relationships and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Ten (10) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Experience managing a team and leading cross-functional projects required.
  • Coupa certification required.
