Job Description

Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team in Kirkwood, NY. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Perform standard vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
  • Instruct and advise other technicians on maintenance and repair procedures
  • Coach and mentor other technicians
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Four years or more relevant work experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
