Key Responsibilities:- Financial Record Management: Maintain accurate financial records, track fund investments, and ensure timely completion of accounting transactions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare consolidated accounts, investor reporting, periodic Net Asset Value calculations, and year-end financial statements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Prepare regulatory reports to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze fund performance on a daily and monthly basis.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage stakeholders, such as fund donors, and follow up with third parties, including investors and fund managers.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, such as balance sheets and profit and loss statements, and publish them on time.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts, and handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- Financial Audits: Perform financial audits and ensure financial records are accurate.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist the Director of Finance in preparing organizational budgets and forecasts and assist department leaders with departmental budgets.
- Financial Policy Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures, as well as financial policies and regulations.
- Communication: Communicate relevant accounting/finance findings with senior management.
- Bookkeeping and General Ledger Reconciliation: Perform daily bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Collaboration with External Partners: Collaborate with external partners to assist in the preparation of tax returns, annual audits, and other regulatory filings.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Experience: Three to five years of accounting experience. Previous experience in Fund Accounting desired.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP and understanding of the U.S. Taxation, Advanced Excel skills, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools, Experience using accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks, SAP, Oracle, Syft).
Salary: $85,000 - $90,000 a year
