About the Role

As an AVP - Financial Analysis and Credit Risk Management, you will be responsible for providing financial, credit, and trend analysis for the delivery of the Bank's tax-exempt and taxable credit products and services to municipal, governmental, and non-profit clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial, credit, and trend analysis for the delivery of credit products and services to municipal, governmental, and non-profit clients.
  • Keep apprised of industry-related, political, and regulatory issues to determine their impact on municipal and non-profit sectors.
  • Act independently from sales teams to structure and evaluate credit requests.
  • Manage customer portfolios and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Review credit analysis of new and existing credit requests and prepare financial analysis of non-profit and municipal entities.
  • Perform independent analysis of appraisal, environmental reports, and other third-party reports.
  • Assign risk ratings on new loan requests according to bank policy.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred and 3+ years of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Good understanding of financial accounting knowledge preferred.
  • Preferred knowledge in lending, specifically, cash flow and collateral analysis and loan structuring.
  • Advanced knowledge of governmental accounting and governmental financial management.
  • Ability to clearly and succinctly express complex financial concepts both verbally and in writing.

Western Alliance Bank offers a competitive salary range of $115,000 to $135,000 for this role, as well as opportunities for annual bonuses and incentives.
