US Foods, Inc. Fleet Diesel Mechanic Job Summary:

A skilled Diesel Fleet Mechanic is needed to join our team at US Foods, Inc.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose diesel equipment issues, ensuring timely repairs and maintenance of our fleet.
  • Perform preventative maintenance according to company standards, extending the lifespan of our vehicles and equipment.
  • Document all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability in a meticulous and organized manner.
  • Handle road service calls and perform rescue/transport services as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of assigned repairs using the Shop Fax system.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic, or a combination of both.
  • Or 2 years of verifiable hands-on experience with either Diesel Mechanic Certification or TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certification or both.
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs.
  • Succesfully demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience in administering an appropriate PM program.
