Fleet Technician Job Description

BlueTriton Brands is seeking a skilled Fleet Technician to join our team. As a Fleet Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on our fleet vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair fleet vehicles and equipment, including gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, air brakes, forklifts, tankers, and trailers.
  • Program and record assigned preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in educating Route Sales Representatives on pre and post-trip inspections.
  • Receive and process invoices for payment.
  • Act as vendor billing point of contact.
  • Maintain parts inventory and budget.
  • Maintain work area, ensuring organization and cleanliness.
  • Ensure safe work practices.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum three years hands-on experience in commercial fleet repair (gas, diesel, or propane accepted).
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to handle physical requirements, including repeated bending, stretching, twisting, and lifting up to 60 pounds in all work conditions (indoor and outdoor).
  • A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • The ability to obtain CDL B license (with airbrake endorsement) within a specified period of time.
  • The ability to obtain ASE T4 (airbrake) certification within a specified period of time.
  • The ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Cummins, Ford, or other engine manufacturer Diagnostic Tool proficiency.
  • Must possess personal tools.
  • Positive team-player attitude.
  • Possesses exceptional work ethic, energy, and drive.
