Clinical Operations Director

About the Role

The Clinical Operations Director will lead Renown Health's Hospitalist Medical Group, driving patient-centered approaches to drive practices, strategies, and performance of primary care. This role will serve as the leader of the provider reporting structure for hospitalist providers, working with administrative and physician leadership to drive performance including patient experience, clinical outcomes, utilization, transformational healthcare, and financial outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the coordinator of medical education for providers and support training, orientation, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Work closely with the division chief of hospital medicine to develop educational content for division meetings and M&Ms.
  • Work effectively with other physician leadership and executive leadership.
  • Maintain a positive relationship and act as a liaison with all providers in Renown hospitalist group and others necessary to execute the initiatives needed to drive outcomes.
  • Work to improve provider engagement, retention, and morale, ensuring Renown Health is seen as a great place to work.
  • Develop clinical best practices for Renown hospitalist group, standardizing care based on evidence-based medicine.
  • Work with systems to maximize efficiency, quality, and outcomes.
  • Schedule physician and APRN staff.
  • Participate actively in the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new providers, including orientation to multi-disciplinary team processes.
  • Provide regular performance feedback and coaching to ensure providers' professional development and resiliency.
  • Participate in the peer review process as appropriate.
  • Develop APP integration to the full scope of their license with the physicians.
  • Assist in the efficient operation of the practice, providing input on budgets, billing, equipment, staffing, and yearly goals. Interact closely with administration to develop goals and provide ongoing assessment to achieve objectives consistent with Renown Health strategic plan(s).
  • Work with providers to manage and monitor goal achievement.
  • Serve as medical director for patient experience (Renown hospitalist group patients only) and medical director on call (Renown hospitalist group patients only).
  • Represent at committee and utilization management as requested by the chief medical officer, Renown acute care services.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Estimated salary range: $150,000 - $180,000 per year.
