Position Summary

We are seeking a Class A CDL Driver to operate a 53 ft. tractor-trailer. This is a full-time position with a Monday to Friday schedule, primarily covering local routes. Some routes may require an overnight stay due to distance. Overtime opportunities are available, and participation in mandatory quarterly Driver Safety meetings is required.

Qualifications
  • Valid Class A CDL Operator's License
  • 1-3 years of driving experience (preferably 100,000 miles)
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug tests as mandated by the DOT
  • Successful completion of driving history and background checks
  • Possession of a Federal Medical Card
  • Understanding of common hazards and safety protocols for Class A Drivers
  • Experience with multiple deliveries
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent customer service skills

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and complete daily vehicle inspection reports (DVIRs)
  • Assist customers in verifying delivered quantities and products against shipping documents
  • Collect payments for delivered goods as per shipping instructions
  • Maintain driver logs in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Operate within safety guidelines as outlined by government regulations and company policies
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle
  • Maintain a clean driving record in accordance with DOT and company standards
  • Adhere to company policies and maintain a positive attitude
