Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CT Technologist Team Lead to join our team at GBMC HealthCare. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our CT department, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain computed tomography equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Prepare examination areas, position patients, and adjust imaging equipment to ensure accurate and efficient procedures.
  • Assist physicians during examinations and provide support to ensure smooth patient flow.
  • Oversee patient scheduling, staffing, and inventory management to ensure efficient department operations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high-quality patient care and departmental standards.
Requirements
  • Completion of a one-year CT training program or a minimum of two years of supervised on-the-job training.
  • At least three years of experience as a staff CT Technologist.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Basic knowledge of CT principles and procedures, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Verbal communication skills necessary to exchange information with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
  • Must have passed a qualifying examination given by an appropriate credentialing agency and hold national registry through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and state licensure through the Maryland Board of Physician Quality Assurance.
Working Conditions
  • Normal patient care environment with occasional exposure to patients with possible infectious diseases.
  • Visual and mental fatigue from prolonged viewing of CRT screens.
  • Regular exposure to radiation with little or no chance of injury when established safety procedures are followed.
Conditions of Employment
  • Must maintain national registry through the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and state licensure through the American Board of Physician Quality Assurance.
