Job Description

H&K Equipment, Inc. is a leading provider of material handling solutions in the Pittsburgh and tristate area. Our company specializes in the sale, rental, service, and rebuilding of heavy-duty and customized equipment.

We are seeking an experienced Freight Coordinator whose primary responsibility will be to schedule freight for our transportation group, CICKO, based out of our Coraopolis, PA facility. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a service or logistics environment.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule freight deliveries and pickups of equipment, parts, and other loads
  • Schedule drivers, plan routes, and dispatch drivers to customer locations
  • Prepare dispatch documents, as well as freight bills and invoices
  • Log customer shipping schedules, complaints, and review drivers' logs
  • Work with Transportation Management Software (TMS)
  • Available for occasional after-hours calls
Requirements
  • At least two years of experience as a freight or truck dispatcher; 3-5 years of experience preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure is essential
  • Knowledge of applicable transportation regulations and laws
  • Experience with DAT load boards
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • High school diploma or equivalency
