Job Title: Home Health Aide/Caregiver

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide/Caregiver to join our team at The Village. As a Home Health Aide/Caregiver, you will provide personal care services to residents in their homes, maintaining a safe and healthy environment while promoting their independence and dignity.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and oral care, as outlined in a written plan of care.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients, including light cleaning, laundry, and care of pets.
  • Document and submit accurate Weekly Care Notes.
  • Confirm schedules weekly using our electronic scheduling system.
  • Check in and out for every assigned shift using the client's home telephone or designated phone.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client, family, and facility information.
  • Provide transportation for clients as needed, depending on the shift hired for.
  • Respond to emergencies according to the needs of the client, including obtaining a 911 response, and in compliance with our Agency Emergency Management Plan.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate a satisfactory level of competency, evidenced by testing (Florida) or CNA credentials.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification or eligible.
  • Have a reliable means of communicating with the facility from home, such as a computer, telephone, or cell phone.
  • Provide up-to-date contact information to the department.
  • Depending on the shift hired for, possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of six years and maintain it in good standing.
  • Have reliable transportation for travel to and between clients within Alachua County, Florida.
