Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pipe Installation Specialist to join our team at MasTec Civil. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper installation of pipelines, working closely with our team to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install sanitary and stormwater sewer structures, pipe systems, leachate systems, and waterlines made of various materials, including concrete, ductile iron, PVC, HDPE, and copper.
  • Lay out pipe routes, following written instructions or blueprints, and coordinating layouts with supervisors.
  • Locate existing pipes and tap and drill holes into pipes to introduce auxiliary lines or devices.
  • Check slopes for conformance to requirements using levels or lasers.
  • Dig trenches to desired or required depths using trenching tools or track hoes.
  • Cut pipes to required lengths and align and position pipes to prepare them for fusion or sealing.
  • Connect pipe pieces and seal joints using fusing equipment, cement, or glue.
  • Cover pipes with earth or other materials.
Requirements
  • 1-year construction-related experience, preferably in roads, highways, bridges, or similar projects.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment, including trenching tools and track hoes.
  • Knowledge of pipe materials, including HDPE, PVC, and ductile iron.
  • Ability to read blueprints and other project-related documents.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
