Job Description

Job Summary:

CorsoCare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Hospice team. As a Hospice RN, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals and their families in their homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and reassess the nursing needs of Hospice patients
  • Provide dietary counseling and education
  • Deliver Hospice nursing services, treatments, and preventive procedures
  • Initiate nursing procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort
  • Monitor patient condition and report changes to the physician and IDG members
  • Teach and counsel patients and families on providing care and managing symptoms
  • Supervise and train other nursing staff
  • Develop and revise patient care plans in collaboration with the IDG
  • Perform specific nursing procedures as needed, following physician orders
  • Attend team conferences and maintain accurate records

Requirements:

  • Prior Hospice experience required
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Ohio
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a registered nurse, with Hospice experience preferred
  • Active patient contact within the past three years, preferred
  • Ability to work independently and make accurate, timely judgments
  • Ability to respond to crises outside of a hospital setting
  • Acceptance of and adaptability to diverse social, racial, cultural, and religious backgrounds
