Job Summary

The CT Technologist is a vital member of the imaging team at HCA Florida Westside Hospital, responsible for performing a variety of CT scan imaging procedures to diagnose medical conditions. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CT scan equipment to produce high-quality images for detecting pathology and abnormalities in patients.
  • Obtain consent, prepare patients, and explain the procedure to them in a clear and concise manner.
  • Determine the most suitable anatomical posture/position and shield patients accordingly to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other imaging staff as needed to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Practice aseptic/sterile technique for all procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Work within the CT Tech scope of practice according to policy and procedures to ensure compliance and quality care.
  • Complete required documentation accurately and immediately after completing each case to maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Current Florida License as Certified Radiologic Technologist.
  • Current ARRT Certification.
  • Current BLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Satisfactory completion of a Radiologic Technologist training program in an AMA-approved school.
  • 2 years of experience preferred.
  • CT registered or completed within 6 months.
