Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist PRN to join our team at SSM Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography procedures to aid in the diagnosis of diseases and injuries.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and Position Patients: Safely and efficiently prepare patients for computed tomography procedures, ensuring accurate positioning and alignment for optimal image quality.
  • Operate Imaging Equipment: Expertly operate computed tomography scanners to capture high-quality images, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Administer Contrast Media: Administer contrast media and/or medications as required, following accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Monitor Patient Safety: Continuously monitor patients during procedures, reporting any abnormal activity or concerns to radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with Radiologists: Work closely with radiologists to ensure accurate image interpretation and diagnosis, recommending updates or refinements to protocols as needed.
  • Maintain Radiation Safety: Adhere to radiation safety procedures and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for patients and staff.
  • Perform Other Duties: Assist with other duties as assigned, contributing to the smooth operation of the diagnostic imaging department.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a radiology certification program or registration in radiology.
  • Experience: No prior experience required, but a strong desire to learn and grow in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Licensure and Certifications: Possess and maintain current licensure and certifications as required by state and federal regulations, including ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
