Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Culinary Director to join our team at Landry's. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our restaurants, ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Culinary Operations: Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food items in our restaurants, ensuring that they meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Team Management: Recruit, select, train, coach, counsel, recognize, and retain direct reports who consistently perform actions and behaviors that reinforce excellence in business operations and guest service.
  • Menu Development: Stay abreast of current trends and practices within the culinary industry and communicate pertinent information to management, peers, direct reports, and employees as appropriate.
  • Quality Control: Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment within the kitchen and ensure that all food safety and sanitation procedures are followed.
  • Guest Service: Deliver positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees.
  • Communication: Promote positive public/employee relations at all times and ensure that all communication with guests, vendors, and employees is clear, concise, and respectful.

Qualifications:

  • Culinary Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Culinary Education: A degree in culinary arts or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team of culinary professionals, with a focus on developing and retaining top talent.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with guests, vendors, and employees at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions, with a focus on maintaining a positive and respectful work environment.
