We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Ascension Wisconsin. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, assessing their needs and developing individualized care plans.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring the effective use of respiratory equipment and medications.
- Evaluate patient outcomes and make adjustments to care plans as needed.
- Educate patients and families about respiratory health and provide information about community resources and support groups.
- Assist with the maintenance and calibration of respiratory equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.
- Participate in departmental inventory management and process equipment according to established cleaning and sterilization procedures.
- Respond to emergency resuscitation team calls and provide critical care support as needed.
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date required.
- Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialing from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board required.
- Advanced Life Support certification preferred.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification preferred.
- Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation from the American Academy of Pediatrics preferred.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
