Multifamily Property Management
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of apartment homes, buildings, and grounds. Key responsibilities include repairing flooring, drywall, and appliances; troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, safety and security systems; painting (interior and exterior); and cleaning (sweeping, mopping, garden/yard upkeep, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular maintenance inspections and repairs on apartment homes, buildings, and grounds.
- Repair and maintain plumbing, electrical, safety and security systems, and HVAC systems.
- Paint (interior and exterior) and clean (sweeping, mopping, garden/yard upkeep, etc.) apartment homes, buildings, and grounds.
- Assist with unit turnovers, including painting vacant apartments and changing out appliances.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably within Residential Property Management.
- High School diploma or equivalency certificate required; technical school and/or CAMT certification, preferred.
- Valid Driver's License, a good driving record, current motor vehicle insurance which meets State requirements, and an operable vehicle that meets FPI's Driving Standards and Personal Vehicle Use policy.
- Must be able to wear a respirator, and have the ability to be medically fit for duty and cleared to wear a respirator, and comply with FPI's facial hair policy.
- Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
- Basic computer skills (email, internet, etc.).
