Parish Worship Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Director of Liturgy to join our team at St. Rose of Lima Church in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

This full-time role involves coordinating all aspects of parish liturgies, including planning, preparation, and execution. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of Catholic liturgical practices and the ability to implement them effectively.

• Liturgy Planning: Work closely with the Pastor to plan and coordinate all aspects of parish liturgies, ensuring that they align with Catholic teachings and traditions.
• Ministry Development: Identify and develop opportunities for liturgical ministry within the parish, promoting the involvement of volunteers and other parishioners.
• Supply and Budget Management: Oversee the procurement of necessary supplies and manage the liturgical budget to ensure effective use of resources.
• Sacramental Administration: Manage the administration of sacraments, including baptism, marriage, and reconciliation, ensuring that all procedures are followed correctly.
• Educational Programs: Collaborate with the parish's educational programs to develop and deliver initiatives that enhance the spiritual growth of parishioners.

The successful candidate should have a strong background in Catholic liturgy, with experience in planning, coordinating, and executing liturgical events. A degree in Theology or Liturgy is desirable, as is fluency in both English and Spanish. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a deep commitment to the Catholic faith.
