Job Summary

Nucor Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Kiosk Sales Associate. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for our retail customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Buy and Sell Non-Ferrous Metals: Accurately identify and grade non-ferrous scrap materials, ensuring compliance with local and state laws as well as company policy.
  • Customer Service: Greet and assist retail customers in purchasing non-ferrous scrap metal, creating a positive customer experience.
  • Inventory Management: Conduct monthly retail inventory and identify non-conforming or unacceptable types of scrap material.
  • Operational Efficiency: Operate small material handling equipment as necessary to move materials for processing and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in customer service, sales, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent customer service skills, and basic math and computer skills.
  • Work Environment: Willing to work in a fast-paced environment, outside in all weather conditions, and wear all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Scrap Materials: Knowledge of scrap materials and their pricing a plus.
  • Schedule: Availability to work Monday through Friday and Saturdays as required.
