Job Summary:

The Edinburg Independent School District is seeking a highly skilled and dependable Athletic Field Groundsman to maintain the athletic fields as assigned. This is a critical role that requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain athletic fields, including mowing, edging, and watering
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as repairing fences and fixing irrigation systems
  • Operate heavy equipment, such as tractors and mowers
  • Collaborate with other grounds staff to ensure all fields are properly maintained
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance plan to ensure the longevity of the fields

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Experience in grounds maintenance or a related field
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Working Conditions:

The Athletic Field Groundsman will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights is required.
