As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for operating a tractor-trailer or straight truck to deliver food and food-related products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor-trailer or straight truck to deliver food and food-related products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the tractor-trailer and trailer to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Load and unload products from the trailer, transport items into designated customer storage areas, and verify delivery of items with customers.
  • Collect money (cash or checks) where required and ensure that the tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured.
Requirements:
  • 12+ months commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL A
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1 year food delivery experience using hand truck and ramp
  • Onboard computer and electronic log system experience (i.e., PeopleNet)
  • Hand-held point of delivery scanning system experience (i.e., POD)
  • Customer service-related work experience
