Senior Supervisor of Machine Tool Services and Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Supervisor to lead our Machine Tool Services team at the Pratt & Whitney Columbus Forge Module Center. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a team of skilled trades persons, general maintenance employees, and outside contractors who construct, maintain, and repair equipment in the manufacturing shop.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and direct the special project and support team, serving as the primary interface with operations to troubleshoot and resolve issues through lean initiatives.
- Lead the implementation of mistake-proofing changes to maintain and increase uptime at the sites, participating in best practice sharing and standardization of 6S and TPM projects.
- Create and communicate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on new processes and ensure training for Maintenance personnel, interpreting and adhering to industry standards and regulatory codes.
- Support other engineering projects with functional specification development and resource coordination to meet schedule and cost needs, ensuring appropriate procedures, design guidelines, and design tools are utilized.
- Provide hands-on and involved technical support, training, and overall mentorship to the plant operations, demonstrating discipline and rigor around documenting all changes using Pratt & Whitney's standard Management of Change (MOC) process.
- A Bachelor's Degree and minimum 5 or more years of experience in an engineering, machine tool, manufacturing, operations management, or quality environment, or an Associate's Degree and 7 or more years of experience in an engineering, machine tool, manufacturing, operations management, or quality environment.
- In absence of a degree, 9 or more years of experience in an engineering, machine tool, manufacturing, operations management, or quality environment.
- Prior experience in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Experience maintaining logistic controls and teaming abilities.
- SAP experience.
- Familiarity with Lean tools and processes.
