About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Barber to join our team as a licensed Barber Instructor. As a Barber Instructor, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of Barbers by teaching and mentoring our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Mentoring: Teach assigned classes under the supervision and guidance of the Education Coach & Program Team Lead, helping students to fulfill their maximum potential in mastering course content.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a professional and organized classroom environment, ensuring student compliance with school rules and regulations.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Instruct students on proper sanitation methods and oversee sanitation efforts throughout the day.
  • Grading and Feedback: Grade and return student work in a timely manner, providing constructive feedback to help students improve.
  • Leadership and Role Modeling: Demonstrate leadership and role model capabilities, holding others accountable and promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience working as a Barber.
  • Licensure: Must hold an active State of Michigan Barber license.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional school environment and communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and management.
